Chassis:
Ford Transit 148” Wheelbase Extended High Roof
We are excited to partner again with Promesa to create a mobile outreach van designed for events and counseling services. This compact vehicle is perfect for navigating the tight streets of New York.
Power and Exterior Features
To ensure reliable operation in locations without utilities, the mobile outreach van includes a robust generator installed on the streetside behind the rear wheel, complemented by shore power capability.
Exterior Features:
Roof-mounted awning for shade and protection
A single roof-mounted AC unit provides comfort during warm weather, along with heat strips inside the pendant for colder conditions
A custom-fabricated QSV side step under the sliding door for easy entry
An exterior duplex outlet under the awning to power tables set up at events
A street-side generator mounted behind the rear wheel with easy access for maintenance
A shore power inlet near the generator for plug-in capabilities
These features make the van ideal for rural outreach programs, community screenings, and long-distance mobile clinic events.
Optimized Interior Features
The interior is designed with a minimal yet functional layout, making the van welcoming and practical.
Front Counseling Area:
Two stationary seats are installed facing each other, with one seat facing forward and equipped with a seatbelt for safety during travel
A fold-down work counter between the two chairs serves as a counseling workspace
An ambient floor heater maintains an optimal climate inside the van during winter
Street Side Storage Area:
A standing counter positioned over the generator in the rear, alongside the wheel well
A mini bar refrigerator mounted above the wheel well to keep water and snacks stocked while in the field
An overhead storage cabinet above the standing counter
An electrical cabinet in the rear with accessible switches for the generator, awning, and lights, allowing operation without opening the cabinet door
Curb Side Storage Area:
A stationary seat with a seat belt faces forward and is located inside the sliding door entry, providing an additional riding position
The boxed-in wheel well creates a platform for storing folding chairs, secured with tie tracks for transport
A custom-fabricated table storage platform is positioned over the toe-kick heater, allowing for the easy transport of several folding tables to events
This thoughtfully designed layout allows Promesa to stay within budget while meeting all their vehicle needs.
