Advanced Technology
QVSV will install the customer supplied radios, antennas and cabling throughout the unit in each workstation, outside command area and the interior of the cab. We will also provide a powerful computer that is connected to a GPS antenna and ready to accept the counties ESRI GIS software at time of delivery, or during our installation here at our facility.
Each workstation will have dual, 27” LCD monitors, stacked for each user, coupled with HDMI, Ethernet and outlets with USB connections. The conference table will have an outlet box for power, HDMI and ethernet connections. The exterior workstation will have a 50” television, HDMI, ethernet and outlets with USB connections. The rear wall of the Mobile Command will feature a 65” Interactive Smart Board with teleconferencing abilities.
Two 35RU IT racks will be mounted on the interior. Each rack will feature anti-vibration mounting and slide out racks for space-limited environments that are placed up against a wall with 20” usable rack depth. Each rack will have rack mounted fans and a rack mounted power strip. One of the racks will have a Tripp Lite series SmartOnline 2000VA 1800W 120V - 7 outlets, extended run, network card included, LCD, USB, DB9, 2U Rack/Tower Double-Conversion UPS.
QVSV will also install AvL’s Ka-Band Broadband Satellite Antenna that offers high reliability for mobile broadband Internet access with its satellites. These antennas feature the AvL Zero Backlash Cable Drive and an Auto-Acquisition Controller. This offers an effective and hassle-free solution for mobile broadband internet access. QVSV will also install a Dish satellite antenna by Winegard for mobile television.
Cameras, Mast & More
Quality camera systems enhance the security and safety of our specialty vehicles and trailers. These camera systems are used for interior and exterior use and most often found in municipal and public safety vehicles including, SWAT vehicles, ADA prisoner transport vehicles, mobile command centers, EOD / bomb vehicles and more. Vandal proof camera options can withstand high physical force including up to 20 joules or 11-pound objects dropped from 15.7”!
DUI enforcement vehicles, mobile command vehicles or other specialty vehicles and trailers have options to deploy more discrete camera and audio systems for interviews, interrogations, and more.
Other specialty vehicles such as public outreach, opioid treatment vehicles, medical dispensing vehicles, lottery vehicles and others often use our quality camera systems to enhance the visual awareness of the vehicle surroundings and as a crime deterrent.
When a higher vantage point is desired, Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles installs mast systems that can raise lights, antennas and cameras over 50’. This additional height is key for situational awareness and area monitoring.

High Payload Weight
Our in-house fabrication team builds vehicle boxes and trailers from the ground up to meet each specialty vehicle’s unique payload requirements. Additional framing and flooring support is added when a heavier load is anticipated. A vehicle’s suspension, engine power, braking, factory payload, factory towing specifications, anticipated driving conditions, road conditions, risk tolerance and more should all be considered when designing and building a specialty vehicle box and trailer. By building our vehicle boxes and trailers in-house we ensure quality and speed for every customer.
Flush Floor Slides
Flush floor slides provide a convenient and safe way to expand the interior size of a specialty vehicle or trailer. We take pride in being able to extend this option to our customers. Flush floor slides allow rolling chairs and other items to seamlessly transition between the middle of the vehicle and the floor of the slides.
Lighting
We install interior lighting in every specialty vehicle and trailer according to our customer's needs. We offer a variety of lighting brand options including Whelen, Code 3 emergency lighting, Fire Research Corp., Night Scan, and more. Out lighting options illuminate the interior and exterior a specialty vehicle with outdoor scene lighting that uses a floodlight to light up the space outside the specialty vehicle or high intensity LED lights that can be raised on a mast far above the vehicle to light an even larger area. In-Wall Wiring & Plumbing

Whether it's fitting a vehicle with 120-Volt AC, 12-Volt DC, audio, video, computer network systems, radios, IT equipment, cameras, emergency lighting, or anything else that needs power, we've got you covered. If you have any additional technological needs, our team is always ready to find a solution, ensuring you feel confident in the quality of our service.
At our facility, we take pride in embedding all electrical outlets and switches and threading our electrical wires through the vehicle's walls. This attention to detail eliminates the need for wire molds sticking out from the wall, resulting in a nice flat wall that gives your vehicle's interior a professional and finished feel. Recreational or cheaply converted vehicles often run plastic wire mold outside of the wall for anything that needs power resulting in plastic runways along the vehicles sides that take up space and interfere with workflow and aesthetics. Don’t settle for cheap plastic wire mold all over the walls of your specialty vehicle or trailer.
Custom Coaches
We provide wheelchair accessible conversions and lifts. We also do custom flat screen T.V. installations and personalized office or computer work station areas. We design, build, and install all of our custom RV/Motor Home solutions.
Spray Foam Insulation
We use spray foam insulation because it offers optimal insulation values, strongly adheres to a moving vehicle's surface and adds to its integrity. Spray foam is moisture resistant and does not shift or fall inside the walls like bat insulation. This not only helps reduce road noise, making your travel experience more comfortable, but also increases the structure and support of our walls.
The impressive insulation values of this foam will save you on cooling and heating costs and reduce the time needed to cool or heat the vehicle. Our spray foam insulation has an R-rating of 7 per inch. The R-value measures thermal resistance used in the building and construction industry. It is the ratio of the temperature difference across an insulator and the heat flux (heat flow per unit area). Higher R-ratings translate to better insulation. Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles offers a variety of insulation thicknesses and values.
Custom Cabinets
Our in-house woodworking shop designs and builds all cabinetry, shelving, and other wood-based applications for each specialty vehicle and trailer according to each customer's needs. Our woodworkers create sturdy, detail-oriented, and high-quality solutions that work great and look great for years to come. For more complex pieces, we use a CNC machine. This computer-controlled machine ensures precision and consistency in cutting and shaping wood, allowing us to easily create intricate designs for any customer request.
Metal Fabrication
Our team offers in-house metal fabrication for custom interiors, exteriors, compartments, storage cabinets, generator installations, cages, benches, steps, and more. We can bend, cut, and form steel and other metals to add value and durability to your mobile vehicle environment. Anything metal made in your vehicle comes from this state-of-the-art team. For more complex pieces, we use a CNC machine. This computer-controlled machine ensures precision and consistency in cutting and shaping metal plates and more, allowing us to easily create intricate designs to exactly fit your desired custom specialty vehicle or trailer.

We work with the customer to come up with the layout and interior configuration to best suit their needs. We are experienced in designing and manufacturing custom vehicles that utilize space efficiently and effectively.
Electrical Wiring & Design
We are experienced in electrical wiring and design that address our customers’ energy needs. We can upfit a vehicle with a 120 volt AC, 12 volt DC, audio, video, computer networks systems, and emergency lighting. If you have any additional technological needs, consult with a member of our team and we will find a solution.
Double Paned Windows
Very hot or very cold climates will benefit from double paned windows because they have a much higher insulation value than typical recreational grade single paned windows.
Lithium Ion Batteries
Lithium-ion batteries are lighter and smaller than traditional batteries while providing significantly more energy at the same time. We only use the highest rated lithium-ion batteries for your specialty vehicle or trailer that come with a 10-year warranty. No more ruined battery hassle.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
A “UPS” will ensure that the power supply to specific components in the vehicle remains powered even when the specialty vehicle or trailer is switched between a generator, shore power, is unplugged from shore power or losses power for any other reason. Our UPS systems ensure the vehicle’s IT, radios, computers, cameras, outlets, and more don’t lose power.
Inverter Power
Our quality inverter options will fully power all of the DC and AC electrical needs of your vehicle by converting DC power, the type of electricity in batteries, into AC power, the type of electricity used to power residential and commercial buildings. This option can significantly reduce or eliminate generator usage, noise, and gas fumes while simultaneously powering your specialty vehicle.
We can custom design and install an inverter and battery option to meet the energy needs of your vehicle or trailer whether you need 100 Watts or 36,000 Watts of power. Our inverter and battery system will allow the vehicle to fully operate all of the outlets, radios, computers, communication equipment, A/C units, fridges, microwaves, internet, IT equipment and more without the need to turn on the generator as if it was plugged into shore power. This will reduce noise and fuel consumption in emergencies and everyday use.

Solar Power
Energy from the solar panels will charge and maintain all the batteries in the unit even when the vehicle is not plugged into shore power. No more dead batteries, hassle, replacement cost, or down time.
The solar panels will provide additional energy run-time before a generator needs to be turned on. This is especially helpful when the vehicle is equipped with an inverter and uses DC and AC electricity.

Generator Power
We offer custom generator installation for any mobile application. We fabricate custom housing boxes with insulation to keep them as quiet as possible. We design and build these boxes for any generator type, size or brand. We install gas, diesel, and propane generator options that supply power at 120 or 240 voltages depending on the specialty vehicle or trailer needs. Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles is a certified installer for various generator manufactures including certification as an Onan-certified sales and service center.
LCD Touchscreens & Controls
QVSV's touch-screen control system utilizes a 10.1" screen to control all interior and exterior lighting, air conditioning, awnings, generators, and more. Additional LCD screens show the specialty vehicle or trailer’s battery voltage, incoming solar power and other settings.
Air Conditioners
Multiple options for the correct mobile specialty vehicles and trailers exist to make sure that the climate control is perfect. Besides different sizes, we specialize in unique solutions to accomplish the unique goals for that specialty vehicle including low profile air conditioners to maximize roof clearance space and DC power options as well that do not need a generator, shore power, or inverter to cool the vehicle or trailer.
Other custom vehicles will require the use of a mini-split air conditioner, reefer unit or even a full-size commercial building unit to keep the vehicle any temperature desired. Our upgraded spray foam options are an immense help for these applications.
Bulkheads & Passthroughs
QVSV offers a diverse range of materials and styles for vehicle compartment separation, ensuring your safety in the cab from any equipment in the rear while also allowing for a person or equipment to pass through to a rear or forward specialty vehicle or trailer compartment. We have the perfect bulkhead solution whether you prefer metal cages, plexiglass, wood, full sheet metal, open passthroughs or other options.
Our most common bulkheads are the type of metal you can find in SWAT vehicles or our ADA prisoner transport vehicles. Although usually covered in metal grate, we also offer plexiglass options or even full sheet metal if visibility into the rear is a low priority. These safe and functional bulkheads will fully divide you from the rear, keeping you safe and everything in the rear where it's meant to be. Although these are often seen in our vans, we also build similar bulkheads in our box trucks to allow access back and forth to the front cab.
QVSV's bulkheads, renowned for their strength, durability, and quality, can be tailored to your specific requirements. We can incorporate a door into the fabrication, as seen in our SWAT vehicles and box truck builds, or even hang ride-along seats from them, adding functionality and optimizing space in our vehicles.
Sliding door passthroughs from the cab are a popular option; this fully encloses the cab and helps keep the rear of the truck private when desired while allowing a full opening when convenient.
Some vehicles are equipped with a simpler privacy curtain or cargo net system that can be easily removed or replaced to keep items in position in the rear while allowing for maximum visibility and passthrough space to front and rear of the specialty vehicle or trailer.

Robotic and drone vehicles are one of our specialties. These vehicles have all of the cameras, antennas, power support, storage, screens, lighting and more to support unmanned aerial systems in remote locations on the go. Many of these custom options have a high payload requirement with higher strength floors and framing. Our in-house vehicle and trailer framing department builds our boxes for each specific purpose including our custom built specialty trailers that are designed and built from the ground up to meet your exact needs.
