Design Details:
This transport can carry a minimum of 28 prisoners with a bench-type seating arrangement, allowing 20 inches per prisoner on average. Each position has a lap belt. The truck is divided into 4 separate compartments, each with a roof hatch and a pull-through hatch between the back two compartments for easy prisoner removal in an emergency.
Each of the four compartments is caged in and accessed by doors: one on the passenger side, one on the driver’s side, and two on the rear. The Thermo King A/C is enclosed in a tamper-proof fabricated casing and ducted through the vehicle.
On the passenger side, the compartments have benches along the wall and the cage, and on the driver side, there are benches along the wall. The doors in the rear also have a second set of cage doors for added security.
