This mobile office vehicle is specifically designed to provide legal consultation services to low-income families and is equipped to be highly accessible. This makes it advantageous during natural disasters to reach and serve a wide range of individuals, including those with mobility challenges.

Upon entering this outreach vehicle, you’ll find an open passthrough to the cab in the front, with cabinet doors providing access to attic storage and an electrical cabinet. Towards the rear of the door, there is a small passthrough window with a ledge underneath. Adjacent to the window is a standing counter with a refrigerator beneath, a coffee maker on the counter, and a microwave cabinet above it.

Moving to the driver’s side, there is a small space behind the passthrough where a paper shredder is secured for travel. Next to it is a custom-made bench seat facing a table with a fold-up extension. On the other side of the table is a fold-down two-position fixed seat with belts for additional personnel traveling with the driver and passenger in the cab.

Additionally, a 24″ monitor is on the wall for display and counseling needs, with an overhead cabinet for additional storage.
In the rear room of this outreach vehicle, separated from the front room by a pocket door, there is a small overhead cabinet on the passenger side, with a wheelchair lift behind it to make the vehicle more accessible. On the driver’s side, there is a second table with a fold-up extension, a monitor, and two rolling chairs with riding securement while the outreach vehicle is in motion. Along the entire side of the room is a long custom-made overhead cabinet, and at the rear, there is a second entry door that steps off the rear bumper to make it accessible.

A mobile office vehicle like this is advantageous during natural disasters because it can easily travel to affected areas, providing much-needed legal services to those who may not have easy access to traditional offices. The vehicle’s accessibility features ensure it can reach and serve a wide range of individuals, including those with mobility challenges.
