Design Details:

This prisoner transport vehicle has been purposefully designed within an in-house fabricated shelter that is integrated into the truck chassis.  This shelter can be remounted on another chassis if ever needed giving ultimate flexibility. The layout is optimized to safely accommodate the transportation of up to 18 prisoners without overcrowding. Inside, the vehicle features three distinct compartments that allow for the separation of offenders based on different security levels, ages, genders, or more. Each compartment is equipped with a roof hatch, facilitating emergency removal of prisoners in situations where doors may be obstructed or inoperable.

To maintain a suitable environment, a Thermo King air conditioning unit was installed within a tamper-proof casing. This A/C unit is ducted throughout the compartments, ensuring that the interior remains cool for prisoners even at full capacity.

Access to the three compartments is carefully structured; each is caged and can be entered through distinct doors located on the passenger side and the rear. The passenger side features a standard door along with a secondary caged door covered in expanded sheet metal to provide full prisoner visibility into the compartment before fully opening it.  This allows for maximum officer safety. The front compartment is secured by an aluminum sheeted wall, enhancing safety. An L-shaped bench provides seating for a minimum of four prisoners, extending along the rear and the driver’s wall.

Access to the two rear compartments is facilitated by a custom-designed three-step walk-up bumper, crafted in-house to ensure durability even with continuous use. In the driver’s side rear compartment, benches run along both walls, while the passenger side features a single bench along the outer wall. A central aluminum sheeted wall divides the two compartments, which can be accessed through the rear doors and the corresponding secondary see-through cage doors.

Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with four exterior storage boxes, strategically placed to maximize storage capacity for the user’s needs.
