Design Details:
Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles constructed and delivered two Opioid Treatment Vehicles for Community Health. One vehicle, with a 17′ box, was sent to serve in Wisconsin, while the other, with a 16′ box, remained local to serve in Arizona.
These mobile medical vehicles were designed to include a small waiting area with custom-made bench seating and two closed-door consultation rooms that lock from the inside to provide the staff with extra security. In the front, near the waiting area, is a bathroom with an incinerator toilet and a handwash station fully equipped with a hot water heater, paper towel holder, and waste basket.
Each room has a desk dividing the nurse from the patient, two rolling chairs secured for travel, dual outlets in the nurses’ consultation area for equipment plug-in, and an escape door. One of the consult rooms has a plexiglass partition above the counter to keep medication dispensing controlled and secure.
A locking cabinet was built in the rear of the room, accessible from the hallway and the consult room. A DEA-certified safe is on the floor below the cabinet, accessible from inside the plexiglass consultation room. Externally, there is an electric awning, a custom-fabricated compartment for the generator, batteries in a lower storage box, and a shore cord.
