This rapid response SWAT truck vehicle is fully functional for transporting several critical pieces of equipment. When in more remote areas of use, this vital law enforcement vehicle can be run entirely off the 7 kW generator mounted in an external rapid response SWAT truck compartment on the street side next to the exterior box housing the auxiliary battery system. Five scene lights have been strategically placed to provide maximum rapid response SWAT truck visibility over the two sides and the rear of the vehicle surrounding it.
Behind the entry door on the passenger side is an exterior TV cabinet, and under it is a fold-up shelf to help facilitate a space to work on the outside of the rapid response SWAT truck. An awning hangs over this side, providing shade. At the rear, there are full rear-opening doors to help with large equipment that can’t be moved through the side door and to help people leave the rapid response SWAT vehicle faster. This can be done with a custom-made two-step fender step that we fabricated and added to the rapid response SWAT vehicle rear. The two-step fender step is designed to provide a safe and easy way for personnel to exit the rapid response SWAT vehicle, enhancing the overall safety of the vehicle’s operations.
Considering the climate this vehicle was being sent to, it was decided to outfit it with two roof-mounted A/C units, ensuring a comfortable rapid response SWAT vehicle working environment. Moving inside to the front of the door is the attic and open pass-through into the rapid response SWAT vehicle cab. In the attic, there are three separate areas; on the passenger side is the electrical panel, in the middle is a pull-out charging rack, and on the far driver’s side is additional rapid response SWAT vehicle storage. Down the passenger side is a day box strapped to the floor, a workbench with a whiteboard wall behind it, and a second-day rapid response SWAT vehicle box. There are securement tracks above each of the day boxes and a custom aluminum cabinets above the first-day box and rapid response SWAT vehicle workbench.
On the other side, down the driver’s wall, there are two sections of aluminum shelving with three rapid response SWAT vehicle outlets behind them. Between them is a gun locker with two storage drawers under, and at the rear there are two more securement tracks. The vehicle’s spacious design ensures ample room for all necessary rapid response SWAT vehicle equipment and operations.
