The focus of this Splicing trailer is dedicated to a safe work environment for the crew as they lower workers below the street surface through a manhole from the interior of the trailer and provide a cool source of positive air floor to keep the workers cool.
In addition to its functional design, the trailer is a testament to sustainability with it’s installed solar system. It boasts eight scene lights strategically placed on each of the four sides, ensuring optimal illumination for working during nighttime hours. On both the front and the rear of the trailer are mounted traffic advisors that notify the position of the trailer along with yellow flashing LED lights on both the curbside and street side. The interior, designed for comfort, features two air conditioning units and roof vents. The trailer is equipped with a battery maintaining solar panel and a generator, enhancing its operational efficiency and public perception.
The interior design of the trailer is laid out for work efficiency for multiple workers. The curbside entry door is closer to the front of the trailer, marked by the installation of an electrical cabinet. Moving towards the rear, the space is optimized with a five-foot adjustable shelving cabinet, followed by an eight-foot countertop. An eight-foot metal standing counter with shelving and overhead cabinets decorates the street side, leading to a street side door and further accented by a second five-foot adjustable shelf cabinet.
The rear of the trailer is a testament to its versatility and accessibility. It’s equipped with two rows of E-Track alongside a support beam running the entire height and width of the trailer, securely welded into place with the frame, walls, and ceiling. The support beam is designed with a lashing ring for a one-inch hook and positioned centrally over the integrated floor hatch.
