This van was designed to be a mobile command center for a security company. The van was upfitted with a bathroom, small galley area, and ample storage where applicable.
At the sliding side door and rear door are our custom-fabricated entry steps; the rear step has a custom notch in it so the hitch is still accessible for equipment needs. Stepping into the vehicle, the front cab is separated from the rear by a bulkhead passthrough, the opening covered by a blackout curtain to keep the rear area completely confidential.
Down the driver side is a counter, and at the front under the counter is the generator that powers this vehicle. In addition to this, the roof has been outfitted with three solar panels to help keep this vehicle operational and cut down on the need to run the louder generator. After this, the generator is the work area, and two stations have been set, each with two 43” TV monitors hung vertically on the wall. In the rear, against the divider wall, is the IT rack housing all communication equipment in the van.
On the curb side, across from the workstations, is a standing counter. Under this counter is a refrigerator to keep meals and water cool during long operations. Next to the refrigerator is a small drawer safe, large enough to hold documents and smaller firearms. Above this counter is an overhead cabinet for storage, but there is also a microwave. Behind this is a floor-to-ceiling cabinet to store the batteries and also to provide an additional storage area for equipment.
In the very rear of the van, separated by a door, is the bathroom, toilet mounted on the driver side, and on the passenger, side is the vanity with sink, overhead cabinet, and mounted between them are the soap and paper towel dispensers.
Because of the custom options this vehicle was installed with, we were able to make a fully functional command vehicle in such a small package. Utilizing the solar panels to help offset the generator usage and always keep the vehicle operational. This van is the perfect option for any covert operation.
