Working with Pivot Cycles, we were allowed to partner with them and upfit an existing truck, transforming it into a mobile storage shelter as well as on-the-road accommodation for sleeping. Utilizing a solar battery system, this vehicle can be completely powered independently of existing power sources or a generator. While the car is driving during the day, the solar panels help charge the batteries, and when the vehicle is stationary, everything inside can still be powered without worrying about extra noise and fumes from a running generator.

Inside the shelter, we reinforced the walls and ceiling, finishing the bare walls with aluminum skin. In the very rear of the trailer, we installed specialized tracks with brackets able to hold the bikes that would be transported around for all manner of shows and demonstrations. While the curb side wasn’t finished in the first round of upfits, we installed extra support in the curb side wall for a custom fold-down bed.

On the driver side of this vehicle, in front of the bike track, is where we installed the electrical cabinet, housing our battery system and keeping everything accessible for easy maintenance. Behind this cabinet is an aluminum standing cabinet with an overhead cabinet; these provide additional storage and work area if needed.
