The State of South Dakota’s mobile hearing testing lab was built on a Ford F650 chassis with a 26′ van body. The mobile hearing testing lab is ADA accessible with a wheel chair lift and ADA accessible sound booth. The custom Acoustic Systems Sound booth with Grason Stadler AudioStar Pro Audiometer was installed in the rear testing room and certified by MSR West. The two room mobile hearing testing lab includes an intake area with benches for waiting, 2 workstations and ample storage with custom aluminum cabinets by Ctech. A 32″ LED television with built in DVD player mounted on the front wall provides visibility to the entire waiting and intake area. The mobile hearing testing lab is self-contained with built in generator including both roof top air conditioning and base board heating to accommodate extreme temperatures. Interior LED 48″ lighting providing 3200 lumen each were installed in both the testing room and intake room to provide sufficient lighting. With such a large vehicle a rear view backup camera was installed to allow for safe maneuverability of the mobile hearing testing lab.
