Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles custom built a medical inmate / prisoner transport for Boulder County Colorado Sheriff’s office to optimize space, safety, and security for both the transporters and the prisoners. We provided Insta-Chain automatic ice chains to assist during winter travel with just a flip of a switch. The prisoner transport was upfitted with a Ricon wheel chair lift to accommodate transport of inmate/prisoners requiring the use of a wheelchair. In the same space a flip up seat can be used to provide two position seating in place of a wheel chair. This prisoner transport was built with spray in foam insulation, slip resistant spray in floor covering, aluminum sheeted walls with tamper proof rivets, seat belts and white powder coated metal benches. QVSV equips our prisoner transports with advanced mobile digital video recorders, which include embedded DVR and allows remote access to the mobile DVR through mobile phone or PDA. This system includes video and networking capabilities that allows the transporters to monitor the status of the prisoners without stopping the vehicle and compromising their safety.
