ERIC (Education/Recycling Information Center) is an interactive and educational 38’ trailer built for the City of Tempe. ERIC is able to house three to six museum-quality exhibits. This mobile educational vehicle was designed to emphasize the three R’s of Recycling – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The interactive exhibits teach proper recycling practices to the public using hands on, educational displays. The City of Tempe needed a mobile educational recycling unit that would convey a compelling message and increase participation in Tempe’s municipal blue barrel recycling program as well as divert recyclables from the landfill, decrease contamination of recyclables, properly dispose of solid waste, and promote environmental stewardship through sustainable practices.
