Mobile DUI Checkpoint: Yavapai County Arizona

 

Vehicle Description:

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety allocated funding for Quality Vans &Specialty Vehicles to build a new Mobile DUI Processing Vehicle for the Yavapai County in Northern Arizona. The Yavapai unit was built by Quality Vans and Specialty vehicles for DUI Processing and Prevention with funds from the existing state contract. The DUI vehicle includes dual processing work centers, dual custom blood draw stations, a DRE test room, and refrigerated blood storage. The DUI Checkpoint is fully equipped to handle DUI processing on site and cut down the time it takes to process a DUI from several hours to around 45 minutes, depending on the case. The DUI Processing Vehicle is also a valuable educational tool for Holiday Anti-DUI campaigns and various community DUI education events.
