Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles worked with the Gila River Indian Community Police Department to build the 36′ Mobile Education trailer / Command Trailer utilizing existing grant funding. The trailer was split into two areas, the forward control/workstation area and rear classroom area with two slide out rooms to provide additional space. The Mobile Education Trailer’s rear classroom area was finished with commercial fabric on the lower wall and dry erase board on the upper section. This will allow the use of almost all surfaces during instruction. The unit was built to be self contained with a 15kW diesel generator, 4 roof mounted A/C units external scene lights and bathroom facilities. Three 50″ LED TVs provide ample viewing opportunities while the unit is deployed for any event. Also included was a ceiling mounted projector screen and pre-wire for future overhead projector in the rear classroom area. In the front workstation area, a standing height counter with easy access to all the vehicle controls. This area also included a private bathroom and storage with coffee station. QVSV even provided a 2015 Ford F450 with a factory 5th wheel hitch installed to pull the mobile education trailer around the Community to make this a single source project.
