APS Educational Solar Trailer

 

Vehicle Description:

The 24′ APS Solar Educational Trailer is built to educate the public on the past, present and future of electricity. The trailer is designed to help the public understand how solar panels work and get a first hand look at how solar panels are made. The trailer features educational exhibits depicting the history of electricity in Arizona. This trailer is used to for public events and schools to teach children and adults alike the history and future of electricity.

Vehicle Features:

  • 8′ wide x 38′ long with 8′ interior height trailer.
  • 15 KW Wrico diesel generator in insulated compartment, exhaust goes through roof.
  • Four 13,500 BTU roof Air Conditioners with heat strips.
  • Spray Foam Insulation
  • 1/2″ NAF plywood and paint on walls
  • Ceiling covered with Roseburg 1/4″ ACX formaldehyde-free plywood.
  • Drop ceiling with cork finished removable panels.
  • Nike Grind Training Ground flooring.
  • Velux 10″ dia tubular skylight.
  • Two LR6 LED can lights with dimmable switches.
  • Seven sets of track light to light displays. Bulbs are LED and on a dimmable switch.
  • One Braun ADA wheel chair lift.
  • 100 amp transfer switch to transfer from generator to shore power.
  • One 50 amp shore cord.
  • One 55 amp converter/charger for 12 volt supply.
  • Solid bulkhead 2′ from the rear fold down door for a rear state/storage area.
