Kathy Steele, General Manager and Member

Kathy Steele is a life long resident of Arizona.  She grew up in Tempe and used to ride her horse in the river bottoms before they became Tempe Town Lake.  Kathy spent over 20 years in the real estate and financial services industry as a real estate sales executive.  Her ability to assess people’s needs and her strong work ethic fueled her intense desire for excellent customer service.  She spent some time as an administrative manager for a periodontist office. Her attention to detail and outgoing personality make her an excellent manager. Kathy was in charge of human resources, office expansion, overseeing office procedures, and bookkeeping. She approaches work with a unique passion and dedication that encourages her employees to strive to improve all levels of business.  Her enthusiasm and leadership qualities won Quality Vans and Specialty Vehicles the honor of Top 50 Woman Owned Business in the Phoenix Business Journal magazine. Kathy has a hands-on approach to managing and often works alongside the production manager to set production schedules, purchasing and delivery schedules, and negotiate lease and purchase agreements. She takes initiative in setting and leading strategic company goals for Quality Vans.

 

Ed Steele, Operations Manager and Member

Ed Steele is an electrical engineer who started his career installing and testing military and defense communications equipment around the world.  He then joined Motorola as a Quality Assurance engineer for their defense and aerospace divisions.  Ed also spent some time as a specification writer in Motorola’s semiconductor division.  In addition to his electrical engineer degree, Ed took Master’s level business administration classes to further his education.  In 1999 Ed, along with his wife Kathy, purchased Quality Vans, a 20+ year old van conversion company located in Mesa, AZ. His forward thinking and assertive personality are the driving force of Quality Vans and Specialty Vehicles. Ed likes to get his hands in all aspects of the business from helping customers and designing CAD illustrations to initiating expansive marketing efforts. His hard work and dedication has transformed Quality Vans into a premier specialty vehicles manufacturer.

 


Jim Nossett, Production Supervisor

Jim has over 30 Years experience in repair and manufacturing of all types of Specialty Vehicles. He has an Associates degree in Cabinet and Millwork, Certified RVIA (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association) Technician and Braun Certified. Jim has an eye for detail and an innovative approach to specialty vehicle manufacturing. He has an unmatched ability to anticipate and exceed the customer’s needs. Jim is known for his problem solving abilities, excellent customer communication, and inventive solutions. He faces obstacles head on and has a creative mind.

 


Dave Rabuck, Sales Manager

Dave grew up in Greendale, Wisconsin where he graduated from Greendale High School.  He later graduated from Mesa Community College.  Dave was a Class A Member of the PGA of America for 15 years managing several golf shops and discount stores.  He’s been in sales of Specialty Vehicles for 16 years and a member of the Quality Vans team for 8 years.  His hobbies include off road exploring and golfing. Dave enjoys a challenge and solving problems. He has an uncanny ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and always looks out for their best interest. Dave is enthusiastic about specialty vehicles and enjoys helping his customers find the perfect vehicle to fit their needs.

 


Lee Miller, Purchasing Manager

Lee has 25 years experience in recreational vehicle repairs as a purchasing agent and parts manager.  He has been in the specialty vehicle manufacturing business for 15 years. Lee is organized and knowledgeable about specialty vehicle parts and products. He takes pride in his ability to help our customers find the best part for the best price. He’s extremely friendly, reliable, and he places a large emphasis on exceptional customer service.

 


Apryl Melançon, Marketing Manager

Apryl was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated ASU 2009 with concentrations in Business and Creative Writing, with a minor in Communication. While completing her bachelor’s degree, Apryl worked part time at a law firm in Phoenix and was a marketing intern at Arizona Citizens Action for the Arts (AzCA). At AzCA, she designed and implemented a public arts and recycling program called Rubbish Revolution. Shortly after graduation, Apryl brought her creative passion for marketing to Quality Vans. She enjoys the challenge of marketing to a variety of industries, keeping abreast of the trends, and meeting new people. She is a hard worker that looks for opportunities wherever she goes.
